Sustainable Ballard Topic: Petroleum-free Transportation

Our colleagues to the north of the Salmon Bay – Sustainable Ballard – are holding their Monthly Gathering Monday, March 28,  starting at 6:30 pm and the topic is Alternatives to Petroleum for Transportation.

Sustainable Ballard meets from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Sunset Hill Community Clubhouse, 3003 NW 66th Street.

Addressing the many ways one can have a petroleum-free transportation system are these speakers:

  • Amy bunni Burgess of Sustainable Fuel Co-Op – Sustainable biodiesel, an alternative to petroleum based fuel
  • Martin Adams/Jim Bristow – New developments in battery technology
  • Kathy Pelish and Fulvio Casali of Salish Sea Trading Cooperative – Wind power/sail transport
  • Jimmy Wong of PanGreen – ride sharing and other sustainable transportation options
