This Saturday, bring your unidentified objects to the Burke Museum to learn about where they came from and the stories behind them. At the 25th annual Artifact ID Day, curators and other experts from the Burke Museum will identify cultural artifacts from the Northwest Coast, Pacific Islands, and Asia, in addition to specimens from the natural world. No appraisals will be given. A limit of three items per visitor is requested because of the event’s popularity. View images from last year’s Artifact ID Day by clicking here.
Artifact ID Day is included in the price of museum admission and is FREE for Burke members, which includes all University of Washington students and employees. The 70-series buses go to the UW campus from downtown, the 21, 22, 37, 54, 55, 56, 57, and 120 buses serve West Seattle to downtown – transfer on 3rd Avenue or in the bus/LR tunnel.
