Citizen’s Climate Lobby

Citizen’s Climate Lobby
A national non-partisan citizen’s group, the Citizen’s Climate Lobby, is creating a local chapter here in Washington’s 7th Congressional District, and plans to focus on developing relationships with congressional representatives and the local media through letters, phone calls, and meetings. Here’s a blurb from their flyer:
…”As the Citizen’s Climate Lobby, our goal is to generate the political will to address climate change. We do this by engaging citizen’s groups to lobby for legislation at the national level. Working with Phinney-Greenwood CCAN, we are starting a local chapter of CCL here in Jim McDermott’s district. Our work here is particularly important because of Representative McDermott’s appointment to the House Ways and Means Committee, which is in charge of taxes.”…
To get involved, please contact Anne Engstrom at (206) 784-1850, achelan@aol.com or Guillaume Mauger (925) 784-7156, guillaume.mauger@alumni.ucsd.edu.
