GMO Food Labeling Panel Discussion @ Ballard Library

GMO Free Washington is having a panel discussion to discuss a bill  to be introduced b y Senator Marilyn Chase to provide for GMO labeling and what will be part of our collective strategy to support the bill. Twelve-hundred (1,200) farmers from Eastern Washington (many wheat farmers) signed petitions to get this legislation implemented, so there is support all over our state.

If a food contains : beef chicken or turkey or the ingredients soy, corn, sugar or canola and is not labeled Organic or Non GMO Verified – 90% of these foods we are eating are geneticaly engineered and potentially sprayed with Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide several times.

The meeting is at the Ballard Library on Monday, January 23, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  The Ballard Library is at 5614 24th Avenue NW, just north and west of downtown Ballard, across from the new Ballard Skate Park.
