Sustainable Northeast Seattle is hosting their 3rd Annual Barter Fair and Cider Press on October 16th, from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm in the east parking lot of Maple Leaf Lutheran Church, 10005 32nd Ave. NE.
Come practice resilience with Sustainable Northeast Seattle! Drink cider with friends and neighbors and trade your home-grown or home-made goods. This is a free community event. Come trade your home-made or home-grown goods with friends and neighbors! Barter skills and services! Do you have too much zucchini or too many canned tomatoes? Here’s a chance to connect with some who bakes tasty pies, knits cute hats or knows how to fix your bike and wants your excess produce.
Note: This is not a flea market. No money will exchange hands at this event and all traded goods must be of your own creation.
There will also be three cider presses on hand for pressing apples, pears and grapes. Bring your own fruit to press and containers for holding cider. Don’t forget a bucket for the mash remainders for composting.
Sustainable Northeast Seattle will also provide some apples as well for pressing so even if you don’t have any fruit to contribute, still bring a container or two for drinking community cider!
