National Wildlife Federation Hosts Kids ‘Hike & Seek’ @ Seward Park

When fall arrives, how do you picture your kids? Will they be front and center in your snapshots jumping in leaves, taking nature walks and hunting for pine cones? Most likely they won’t. Studies show kids today spend far less time outdoors than their parents did—but time outside is crucial to children’s bodies, minds and spirits.

This fall, join National Wildlife Federation’s Hike & Seek and help keep healthy kids in the picture by spending a Saturday morning outside enjoying nature. Hike & Seek is part hike, part scavenger hunt, with educational and interactive stations, live wildlife displays and everyone’s favorite raccoon, NWF’s Ranger Rick!

Your local Hike & Seek adventure will be at Seward Park on September 17, 2011. Start time 9:00 am.

As soon as you register, you’ll receive a link to your personal online Participant Center so you can start planning your hike and have the opportunity to support the mission and fundraise.

This fall, picture your family joining Hike & Seek, and help get America’s kids back outdoors! You’ll be thrilled with what develops.
