Perennial Plantings: How to plant a garden Once and harvest for Years! Come help create a Community Orchard in West Seattle. Join in for an interesting class, lunch, and fun work party. All free.
Come join your neighbors at the Community Orchard of West Seattle for an exploration of the often-neglected role that perennial plants can play in a food production system. In this session, you will be working in teams to design plant groupings for the orchard. We invite you to bring information on 2 perennial plants (including trees): your personal favorite edible perennial, and information on a new perennial you’ve never heard of before. Surprise us!
Please RSVP to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XFC9SXP, so we can be prepared for lunch.
The orchard is funded by a Large Projects Grant from the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods.
