Help Harvest Fruit with Community Harvest of SW Seattle

Community Harvest of SW Seattle (CHOSS) is about to begin harvesting trees again this year.

We are so grateful to all of our volunteers who have harvested over 100,000 pounds of fruit in the past 3 years.  These pears, plums, apples, grapes and even kiwis were enjoyed by many at the local food banks who otherwise would not have been able to afford fresh local fruit.

Are you interested in helping out this year?  We will be harvesting Thursday evenings and Sunday mid-day.  You can come out once – or many times.  CHOSS hopes to see many of you again, under the bountiful trees in our neighborhoods.

If you are interested, just send an email back, and we’ll put you on the list to be notified, as we schedule the harvest.

For more information contact Aviva Furman, Director, Community Harvest of SW Seattle, at 206-762-0604, or check out CHOSS’ website at www.gleanit.org.  To volunteer send email to info@gleanit.org.
