Landslide Awareness Meeting

Come to South Seattle Community College to learn about landslides.  Sponsoring this two-hour seminar on what they are, how you can protect yourself and your property, and what to do if something happens, are the City of Seattle, the American Society for Civil Engineers, the Association of Engineering Geologists, the International Society of Arboriculture, and the Associated Building Contractors.

Presentations will include a discussion of the causes of landslides and proper drainage and vegetation for sloping sites. These will be followed by a question and answer session and time for one-on-one discussions.

Location is the South Seattle Community College, Judge Warren & Nobie Chan Education Center (near the SSCC Arboretum, park in the northeast lot).

To RSVP for the meeting, please contact Tyson Lin, Seattle Department of Planning and Development, Community Relations at 206-684-8443. You can also learn more information at www.seattle.gov/dpd/Emergency/Landslides.
