You are invited to join your community forest stewards for a day of tree planting and park restoration! There are five West Seattle locations as part of the Seattle-wide program. The West Seattle areas are: East Duwamish Greenbelt, Westcrest, Lincoln, Camp Long, Orchard Street Ravine, and West Duwamish Greenbelt.
For Orchard Street Ravine, meet at the top of Orchard Street. The Green Seattle Partnership, which helps organize this day, has donated 100 new plants to be planted at the ravine, and Paul Prentice and crew, of Prentice Design, have designed the free volunteer T-shirt which will be given out to those who register for participation on this day. To register and secure your bragging rights to your very own shirt, register at this link. http://www.greenseattle.org/events/events-2009/11-7-green-seattle-day-2009
If you aren’t sure yet, feel free to drop by, even if you won’t get a shirt, we’d love your help. There will be coffee and treats, and please bring your own gloves, the work party is from 1o:00 to 2:00 pm. For more information email Paul Prentice at firstname.lastname@example.org
